Hello! My name is Tien. Pronounced “tee-en.” I was born in Vietnam, my family moved to New Jersey when I was 7. A year later we moved to Jacksonville, Florida.
In 2011, I graduated high school when I was 17 thinking I wanted to be a nurse. When I finished my AA at a state college, I thought I wanted to be a doctor. I transferred to UCF as a Biology major. However, I lost passion in the health service industry so I changed my major to Business. Although it was like starting from the beginning, I couldn’t have been happier!
I decided “I’m already a 6 year college student…why not delay it some more” so I delayed my graduation for another semester to study abroad. It was the best experience of my life. I studied in a small city call Nancy in France. During the 6 months that I was there, I traveled to 32 cities within 12 European countries. I still reminisce about it everyday.
Fun facts: I’m a licensed Nail specialist. I worked as a peer advisor at my college and interning at Orange County Government. I speak Vietnamese and English. I have 2 godsons. I’m weirdly a morning person.
When I’m not working or studying I love cooking, baking, crafting, shopping, photography, organizing, and anything that allows me to be creative. I love the feeling of being somewhere new and experiencing things for the first time. Last but not least, I’ve been incredibly lucky to have such great family and friends in my life who always give me so much love and support.
